Playing this with my S/O been very insightful and made communication easier around discussing important and sensitive topics.

So overall I loved these cards. They were fantastic conversation starters for me and the guy I've been dating for about four months. (He was hesitant at first but after a few cards he was even sucked in!) They were thought provoking and shed a lot of light on areas we either hadn't talked about or hadn't fully explored. They had a good mixture of light hearted questions and more serious/difficult ones. Most were fairly tame but I will say that I wouldn't recommend using too early in a relationship. I know this is the "dating" set but to me it's a dating for 3+ months or so set because a lot of the questions rely on your partners knowledge/understanding of you. You need to have a bit of foundation to stand on in that sense, plus some are a bit serious for a BRAND new doing situation in my opinion. The only reason I didn't have them 5 stars is because the questions could get a bit repetitive. There are quite a few cards and all are different but we definitely ran into a few that called for the same/similar answer to others we'd done. We would just try to get creative and come at the answers from a different angle but could cause little bit of a break in the flow of conversation/playing. we were doing them in the car on a very long drive too, so could be that we did too many in one sitting and it's just not meant to be played that way. Like I said in the beginning though, we did really enjoy them and I would highly recommend!
Definitely a great way to get to know someone. I've been video chatting with this guy 1500 miles away who I met on 18th of July. Now 31st of August. We feel like we have known each other forever. I know information that I didn't know until years later with my previous long term relationships. Highly recommended. Let's you know if you are wasting your time. As long as everyone goes in open and honest.
This is the perfect "to-go set". This set is a little bit more light hearted than the couples deck that I have so you can really pull them out anywhere and spark up a good conversation. Great for ubers, lunch dates, walks etc. The couples deck is better for sitting down alone with undivided attention. I love them both!
